When Good Girls Meet Bad Boys

The saying that good people would always meet their opposite turns out true for  beautiful  Bella.

Bella was raised as the only child. She experienced love and care from her parents . She obtained the best education from her kindergarten to the university level . 

Brilliant, smart and hardworking Bella graduated as the valedictorian of her school. She had good remarks from both students and lecturers. Bella was everything her parents wished for in a child .

Although raised by good and loving parents, as the only child she was faced with the pressure of giving them grandkids as they were aging .

At age 26 she completed her national youth service , got married to a man she met during her service year; a zealous worker at the Nigerian Port Authority. 

The marriage grew in love and great affection for the first 7 months; in the eighth month, he lost his job with NPA. Bella started supporting him, sooner than later, the support became a responsibility and later, a burden. She fed herself, the husband and later, the children.

In all these, her husband never appreciated her efforts  to build the family, even without money.

He started gambling and sports betting to raise money for himself. God blessed him with 264,000 Naira, which he squanderd within weeks.

Their landlord got wind of the information of his recent winning and rushed to collect the balance of the rent owed by him, only to discover that the money had finished. 

Out of anger, the landlord threw them out of the house. Bella grew thin, got weak and was depressed, but she had to be strong for the children. She pleaded with the proprietor of the school she was teaching and was allowed to sleep in one of the classes for nine months.

After some time, her husband had a life changing opportunity to travel to Spain, an opportunity he grabbed with both hands.  In 2018, he traveled out and left  Bella and the children.

It is two years now, they have not heard from him. Bella makes tears her companion, she cries everyday but help is not on sight. 

To Bella men are scums. How long should one be in courtship before committing to the  scared vows of marriage.
