Esther Ebelechukwu Benyeogo is a 24-year-old Born on 15th September 1997 to Dr. and Mrs. Kennedy Benyeogo,  this star is a big dreamer who believes with patience and unwavering faith in God, all things are possible!

An indigene of Ika North Local Government Area in Delta State, Esther is the last of six children raised in Asaba but considers herself a citizen of the Heavenly Kingdom.

With an incredible influence from her elder siblings who are also singers, Esther discovered her vocal gift at age 13 when neighbours would rather compliment the quality of her voice than complain about the noise.

Esther Benyeogo is no stranger to the stage. She was first runner-up in the Next Big Teen talent competition organized by Teens church of Christ Embassy in 2012. As though fulfilling the prophesy over her life, five years later on Saturday June 24th 2017, Esther made it to the finals winning the coveted title beating thousands of contestants at the grand finale of God’s Children Great Talent season 7.

Esther draws much inspiration from the Holy Spirit and teachings of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome for daily guidance in life. Her greatest music influence comes from Nigerian gospel artiste, Sinach who is also a worship leader in Esther’s church. Others include, American gospel sensation Natasha Tameika “Tasha” Cobbs and Nigeria’s praise and worship leader, Nathaniel Bassey.

The Gospel star released her debut called “Generation” in July 2020. She has also featured in q several songs by other artists like TY Bello and so on.

Whether she’s singing a Christian piece, or sharing a bible verse she shares her love of the holy spirit whenever possible. Before her EP was released, she often posted videos of her singing on Instagram. She always shows her love of the higher spirit in her music.

Faith is a huge part of Esther’s life and she embraces that, even on The Voice Nigeria. During her meet the talents segment on the show, she mentioned the Holy Spirit as the best gift ever received.

Today Esther Benyeogo has emerged as the winner of The Voice Nigeria 2021 after 16 weeks of intense musical battle. 

Though each of their renditions were amazing, it seems Esther caught Nigeria’s attention with his/her classic sound and adorable personality.

She battled against three other top finalists, coming out victorious and grabbing the N10 million cash, a car, and a record deal with Universal Music Nigeria.

Coach Darey, who guided Esther tirelessly through the entire competition, praised her saying, “Esther has consistently shown throughout the season that she is indeed phenomenal. Her passion, dedication and commitment to improvement were clear signs that she had her eye on the prize and I cannot be more pleased by the outcome”.

Esther Benyeogo has her focus in life set and no doubt she is taking over her industry and we wish her nothing but the best as she forges ahead with life.
