Army Launches Probe Into Alleged Civilians Attack At Kaduna Hotel

The Nigerian Army has launched an investigation into a viral video showing some individuals wearing military camouflage assaulting civilians in a hotel in Kaduna State.

A statement by the Director, Army Public Relations, Brig.-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, said the incident is a deviation from the core values of the Army and a violation of citizens' rights.

He assured the public that the Army has zero tolerance for such acts and will not condone any form of abuse of power or infringement of human rights by its personnel.

"The Army has ordered an immediate investigation to verify the authenticity of the video and identify the culprits, and if found guilty, they will face the full wrath of the law," Nwachukwu said.

The statement also urged citizens to report any untoward conduct by troops to the Nigerian Army Human Rights Desks at the Headquarters Nigerian Army or the Divisions Headquarters.
