American actress Kelley Mack, widely known for her roles in The Walking Dead and Chicago Med, has died at the age of 33. Her death occurred on Saturday in her hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio, and was confirmed on Wednesday via a statement posted on her official Instagram page.
Mack, born Kelley Klebenow, died peacefully with her mother and aunt at her side, according to the family’s announcement. A memorial service will take place on August 16 at the Glendale Lyceum in Glendale, Ohio, with a separate celebration of life planned in Los Angeles.
In January 2025, Mack revealed that she had been diagnosed with diffuse midline glioma, a rare and aggressive form of astrocytoma cancer. She shared that the illness had affected her mobility, requiring her to use a walker and wheelchair.
A statement from her sister described Mack as “a bright, fervent light” and commended her courage in facing the illness. “I’m so proud of her,” the statement read. “She would want you all to know how much she loves you.”
Mack began acting early in life and gained widespread recognition for playing Addy in AMC’s The Walking Dead.
She later starred as Penelope Jacobs in NBC’s Chicago Med. She also lent her voice to commercial campaigns and voice-over roles across various media.
Her death has sparked a wave of tributes from fans and colleagues alike, celebrating her talent, resilience, and the emotional depth she brought to her characters.
