Nigerian international goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has officially parted ways with French club Paris FC following the expiration of her contract.

The 24-year-old shot-stopper joined the club in 2020 from Rivers Angels and leaves behind a remarkable legacy.

During her five-year spell, Nnadozie made 100 domestic league appearances, recorded 44 clean sheets, and maintained an impressive 74.4% save rate.

Her consistent performances were key to the club’s success both domestically and in Europe.

One of her standout moments came when she saved two penalties in the final against Paris Saint-Germain, helping Paris FC secure a vital victory.

Her contributions also played a significant role in the club’s qualification for the UEFA Women’s Champions League on three occasions.

Nnadozie’s excellence between the posts earned her several accolades, including the prestigious D1 Arkema Goalkeeper of the Season and the UNFP Best Goalkeeper award-further cementing her status as one of Africa’s top goalkeepers.

Paris FC announced her departure in a social media post, expressing gratitude for her commitment and achievements, and wishing her success in her next chapter.

Reports indicate that Nnadozie has agreed to join English club Everton FC Women in the Women’s Super League, marking a significant move in her career.

While her absence will be felt at Paris FC, Nnadozie’s legacy as one of the club’s most outstanding goalkeepers will remain.

Her journey continues as she takes her talent to one of the most competitive leagues in women’s football.

Arsenal Held 1-1 by Brentford in Title Blow

Arsenal dropped points in the Premier League title race on Thursday night after a 1-1 draw with Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium.

The Gunners took the lead in the 61st minute when Noni Madueke headed in to put the visitors ahead.

Brentford replied 10 minutes later as Keane Lewis-Potter nodded home from a long throw-in to level the match.

Arsenal pushed for a winner late on, with Gabriel Martinelli going close, but Brentford held on for a share of the points.

Manager Mikel Arteta later said his side must improve defensively, especially against set pieces and physical play.

The draw keeps Arsenal top, but narrows their lead over chasing rivals as the season enters a decisive phase.
