Many Feared Injured As Building Collapses in Abuja
There are fears around possible casualities and injuries as residents got trapped after the collapse of a building which is under construction at 7th Avenue at the Gwarinpa Area of Abuja.
Reports disclosed that a number of victims were trapped under its debris.
An eyewitness on Thursday disclosed the collapse through a tweet to his Twitter handle @nnjigs.
He captioned the video posted to his handle:
“Just witness a poor collapse of an ongoing construction building in Gwarinpa, Abuja, 7th Avenue. People are trapped inside. Please, help inform all necessary agencies.”
Construction workers and food vendors are reportedly trapped in the building but the casualty figure is yet to be ascertained.
Concerns are currently raised over the site, but AbujaCityJournal cannot immediate confirm the cause of the collapse.
