The French giants stormed to their first UEFA Champions League title in stunning fashion, thrashing Inter Milan 5-0 in Saturday’s final in Munich, the biggest winning margin in the competition’s history.
The emphatic victory capped a historic treble for PSG, who had already claimed Ligue 1 and the Coupe de France this season.
Achraf Hakimi opened the scoring in the 12th minute against his former club, setting the tone for a dominant performance.
Teenage sensation Désiré Doué added two goals, becoming the first teenager to net a brace in a final since Benfica legend Eusébio in 1962.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and substitute Senny Mayulu completed the rout, sealing a night of redemption and record-breaking glory for the Parisian club.
It marks a landmark moment for the Qatari-owned side, who for over a decade pursued Europe’s top prize with a Galácticos-style strategy featuring stars like Lionel Messi, Neymar, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Kylian Mbappé.
Ironically, PSG’s breakthrough came in their first season without Mbappé, who left for Real Madrid last summer to chase Champions League glory.
The victory also makes PSG only the second French team ever to win the competition, after Marseille’s triumph in 1993.
For manager Luis Enrique, it was a second taste of continental glory, having previously lifted the trophy with Barcelona in 2015.
