Muhammad Bello El-Rufai, member representing Kaduna North in the House of Representatives, has expressed sadness over the rift between his father, former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, and the incumbent Governor Uba Sani.

Speaking in an interview with the BBC Hausa Service, Bello revealed that while both men have played significant roles in his life, his father as a mentor and Sani as his political leader, resolving their differences is beyond his responsibility.

He lamented that some individuals seem to take pleasure in the ongoing dispute, likening it to scenes from Bollywood movies.

Despite his deep respect for both figures, he maintained that his primary focus remains on delivering quality representation to his constituents.

Bello also acknowledged the unpredictability of human relationships, emphasizing the importance of reconciliation.

However, he admitted uncertainty about the true nature of the alleged feud, stating that neither party had discussed it with him directly.

“It is painful to witness this situation. Even if someone is my enemy, I do not wish to see them in conflict with another,” he said.

The discord between El-Rufai and Sani has been a subject of public speculation, but neither leader has openly addressed the matter.
