South African Pop Sensation, Tyla stole the show at the 30th MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs), in Manchester, United Kingdom, on Sunday, making history as she clinched three top awards and solidifying her status as a global force.
Tyla’s remarkable night included winning Best Afrobeats Artist, where she outshone heavyweight Nigerian artists like Asake, Tems, Rema, Burna Boy, and Ayra Starr.
She also claimed Best African Act, beating popular nominees such as Ayra Starr, Diamond Platnumz, and DBN Gogo.
To cap it off, Tyla secured the Best R&B Artist award, surpassing renowned American stars like SZA, Usher, and Kehlani.
