Popular rapper Tobechukwu Ejiofor, better known as Illbliss, has drawn a stark comparison between the Super Eagles and the Nigerian government, following the team’s recent performance. In a reaction to the Super Eagles’ 2-1 defeat in the 2026 World Cup qualifying series on Monday, Illbliss expressed his disappointment on social media.

Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) handle, the ‘Aye Po Gan’ hitmaker remarked, “The Super Eagles is a reflection of the government. Lethargic. Inconsistent. Confused…”

The criticism comes as the Super Eagles struggle in their 2026 World Cup Qualifiers, having yet to secure a victory. The team currently sits in fifth place in Group C with only 3 points.

The rapper’s comments echo a sentiment felt by many fans who see parallels between the team’s performance and broader issues within the country’s governance. The Super Eagles’ lackluster performance has raised concerns and sparked debates about the state of Nigerian football and its management.

As Nigeria continues to seek its first win in the qualifiers, the reflection on both the football team and the government’s effectiveness remains a poignant topic among citizens and commentators alike.

KWAM1 Writes Abiodun Again, Seeks Nullification of Awujale Nomination Meeting

Popular Fuji musician, Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde Marshal (KWAM1), has again written to Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, seeking the nullification of the recent Awujale of Ijebuland nomination exercise over alleged violations of chieftaincy laws.

In a letter dated January 14, 2026, Ayinde, through his lawyer, Dr. Wahab Shittu, urged the governor to void the Fusengbuwa Ruling House nomination meeting held on January 12, warning that failure to do so could lead to prolonged litigation.

He alleged that the process breached the Ogun State Obas and Chiefs Law, 2021, citing the introduction of an imposed delegate system and the exclusion of some eligible members of the ruling house.

Ayinde maintained that the Fusengbuwa Ruling House, which is next in line to present candidates following the death of Oba Sikiru Adetona, was required to conduct an open and inclusive nomination.

According to him, despite a January 6 directive from the Ijebu Ode Local Government to hold a statutory meeting, he and other members were denied access to the January 12 exercise, which he said was guarded by security operatives and restricted to selected delegates.

Describing the process as unlawful and procedurally defective, Ayinde urged the governor to order a fresh, transparent nomination exercise involving all eligible members.

Meanwhile, 95 contestants reportedly emerged from the meeting held at Bisrod Hall, Ijebu Ode, which was presided over by the ruling house leadership in the presence of local government officials.

The selection process has drawn public attention, with Ayinde expressing interest in the throne, although the Fusengbuwa family has maintained that he is not a member of the ruling house and is ineligible to contest.

Carter Efe’s babymama, Nuella, has spoken out about alleged mistreatment during and after their relationship, claiming the entertainer exercised excessive control over her life.

In a statement, Nuella said she was forced to seek Carter Efe’s approval or financial support to care for their child, despite no longer being in a relationship.

“I have seen everything Carter posted about us. We were literally together three days ago, and we have a child together. For me to cater for our baby, I had to come to him before he could give me money,” she said.

She also alleged that Carter Efe prevented her from pursuing her career, including her dream of becoming an actress, and blocked her from working at the hospital, claiming she would compromise herself.

Nuella added that he isolated her from female friends and family, controlling who could contact her.

The dispute intensified after Carter Efe allegedly shared posts about their private life online, prompting widespread discussions on social media.

Nuella described the situation as deeply intrusive and inappropriate, revealing the ongoing strain caused by the public exposure of their personal matters.
