Lagos Police Probe 2 Doctors for Alleged Organ Harvest of Two Teenagers

The Lagos State Government's Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency has requested the Lagos State Police Command to investigate the alleged removal of two women's ovaries by two doctors in Ogun and Lagos states.

The victims, who are unable to pursue higher education due to the pain caused by the procedure, were deceived and taken to Redwood Hospital in Abeokuta, Ogun State, by a neighbor named Blessing Adeleke.

The agency has written a letter to the Commissioner of Police, urging them to ensure a thorough investigation is conducted and justice is served.

The victims claim that Adeleke promised them compensation of N80,000 in exchange for providing their menstruation to the hospital for a surgical egg retrieval procedure.

They allege that Adeleke threatened to harm them if they disclosed the information to anyone. The victims state that they have experienced severe abdominal pain since the surgery was performed.

The agency believes that the allegations against Adeleke constitute the offense of unlawful possession of human parts, and they are seeking assistance in initiating a proper investigation.
