Nigerian comedian and former reality TV star, DeeOne, has achieved a remarkable milestone after completing a 52-hour stand-up comedy marathon, setting a new benchmark for the Guinness World Record (GWR), for the longest individual stand-up performance.
The marathon began at exactly midnight on October 2 and concluded in the early hours of Saturday, October 4, 2025, following official clearance from Guinness World Records to commence the attempt.
Speaking after the event, DeeOne described the feat as both a personal achievement and an inspiration to young Nigerians and dreamers worldwide.
“This record is not just about me. It’s a message that no goal is beyond reach if you are determined to push your limits,” he said.
The record-breaking performance, held at the Pallazzo Event Centre in Ikeja, Lagos, attracted massive support from Nigerian entertainers and fans alike.
Among the notable personalities present were Pamilerin, Acapella, FunnyBone, Uche Maduagwu, Husband Material, EmmaOhMaGod, K-Solo, Constance Owoyemi, Akinolu Jekins, and Gbenga Adeyinka the 1st.
DeeOne’s 52 hours and 42 minutes of uninterrupted comedy now await official verification by Guinness World Records before formal recognition.
Before DeeOne’s attempt, the record was held by American comedian Benny Elbows, who performed for 40 hours, 16 minutes, and 48 seconds on April 25, 2025.
