The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed that TikTok influencer Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, is safe and unharmed despite viral reports of his alleged abduction during a livestream on Wednesday night.

Police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin, speaking on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief on Thursday, said preliminary investigations showed that Peller was at home and that none of his belongings were missing.

“We are investigating the allegation, but we can confirm that the person in question, Habeeb, popularly known as Peller, is at home safe and sound,” Hundeyin said. “His vehicle is also intact, all his phones and properties, nothing was missing.”

He added that detectives are probing whether the incident was a genuine kidnapping, a staged act, or a false alarm. “There was no violence whatsoever,” he stressed.

Peller, 20, was reportedly seized by armed men during a TikTok livestream, with footage showing him apparently mistaking them for security operatives before being taken away.

The video spread rapidly online, triggering widespread concern from fans.

The social media star, who gained prominence in 2021 with short skits and later expanded into livestreaming shows and events, remains under police watch as investigations continue.
