The Rivers State Police Command has arrested a suspected car thief, Felix Clark, along Abacha Road in the GRA axis of Port Harcourt.
According to the Command’s spokesperson, Superintendent Grace Iringe-Koko, the suspect was intercepted by operatives of the Anti-Cultism Unit while riding a bicycle during a routine patrol.
A search of the suspect led to the recovery of seven master keys, raising immediate suspicion.
Further investigation led officers to Clark’s residence, where a red Hyundai Sonata with registration number EKY 531 GG, previously reported stolen, was recovered.
In a statement issued on Wednesday in Port Harcourt, Iringe-Koko revealed that during interrogation, the suspect made useful statements and identified other members of his syndicate operating across Delta, Edo, and Lagos States.
“On Wednesday, May 5, 2025, at about 11:30 a.m., operatives of the Anti-Cultism Unit, led by ASP Attah Alih, intercepted Felix Clark along Abacha Road, GRA.
“Seven master keys were found in his possession, and he was immediately taken into custody,” the statement read.
She added that investigations are ongoing, and further updates will be provided as more information emerges.
The Rivers State Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbenga Adepoju, reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property.
He urged the public to continue supporting law enforcement efforts by providing timely and credible information.
