Award-winning singer David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has revealed an emotional connection between his late son, Ifeanyi, and one of his newborn twins, saying he believes his son came back through the twin boy.

Speaking in a heartfelt interview with Ebro Darden on Apple Music 1, Davido reflected on the deep personal loss he suffered with Ifeanyi’s death, admitting it forced him to step away from the spotlight and focus on family and healing.

“That type of loss makes you just be like, ‘I’m out. I’m just going to chill, take care of my wife, take care of the family and get my head right,’” the singer said.

The Afrobeats star, who welcomed a set of twins with his wife Chioma in 2023, described the experience as nothing short of divine, noting the striking resemblance between the twin boy and the late Ifeanyi.

“The boy looks just like my son who passed. It’s scary. It’s like literally him. We’re like, ‘Nah, it’s him. He came back,’” Davido revealed.

He said the birth of the twins brought unexpected healing and hope after tragedy.

“To come back from that loss and just be blessed with twins out of the gate—a boy and a girl—that’s crazy. That’s great. It’s like, ‘God is real,’” he added.

Davido’s words have since resonated with fans and admirers who continue to offer support to the singer and his family.

Billionaire businessman Dr. Deji Adeleke has spoken publicly on the long-standing paternity claims involving his son, Nigerian music star Davido.
The claims were made by Ayo Labinjo, an Ibadan-based woman who has alleged that Davido fathered her daughter, Anu. The issue recently resurfaced on social media after the child appealed for a fresh DNA test.

Addressing journalists at a press conference in Lagos on Tuesday, Dr. Adeleke said the family had remained silent out of respect for due process but decided to respond following renewed public attention. He stated that multiple DNA tests had been conducted over time, all of which confirmed that Davido is not the biological father of the child.

Dr. Adeleke stressed that the family acted responsibly by consenting to the tests and following legal procedures, adding that it was unfair for the issue to persist despite consistent scientific evidence.

He urged the public to respect the outcome of the tests and allow all parties to move on, calling for restraint in the public handling of sensitive family matters.
