The Kano State Government has authorized Sunday, September 15th, 2024 as the new resuming date for all boarding public/private primary and post-primary schools in the state to begin the first term of the 2024/2025 academic session.
Pupils and pupils at day schools across the state will return on Monday, September 16th, 2024.
On Thursday, Balarabe Kiru, Director Public Enlightenment at the State Ministry of Education, issued a statement confirming this.
The state’s Commissioner of Education, Alhaji Umar Doguwa, announced the postponement on Saturday, September 7th, 2024, citing pressing circumstances.
However, the statement advised parents and guardians of kids to take note of the new resuming date to guarantee full compliance.
While underlining the government’s commitment to providing access to quality education and a conducive learning environment, Kiru reminded pupils to follow the law and not bring any unlawful things to school, such as knives or razors.
