Real Madrid claimed their first La Liga victory of the season with a hard-fought 3-0 home win against Real Valladolid.
The game proved challenging for the champions, especially during Kylian Mbappe’s home debut, as Valladolid’s deep defensive line restricted space and minimized the impact of Mbappe, Vinicius Jr., and Rodrygo in the first half.
The breakthrough came in the 50th minute when Federico Valverde’s low shot, deflected heavily off Stanko Juric, beat Valladolid goalkeeper Karl Hein to open the scoring. As Valladolid pressed for an equalizer, the game began to open up, creating more opportunities for Real Madrid.
Substitute Brahim Diaz doubled Madrid’s lead in the 88th minute with a deft finish, chipping the ball over Hein after receiving a long pass from Eder Militao.
The scoreline was further embellished by 18-year-old debutant Endrick, who scored in the final minute of added time with a powerful shot inside the near post.
Despite several promising runs from Mbappe, he was unable to score on his home debut. However, the late goals from Valverde, Diaz, and Endrick ensured a well-deserved win for Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
