BREAKING: Paul Pogba Banned From Football For 4 Years Over Doping

Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has been handed a four-year ban as a result of failed doping tests, with the Frenchman’s career now thrown into doubt.

The World Cup winner posted an initial positive test back on September 11, 2023, with elevated levels of testosterone found in his system. Pogba was ruled out of action at that stage and has not figured for the Bianconeri since.

Pogba also saw the results of a ‘B’ sample test come back positive, with a provisional suspension already in place by that point. The France international was put onto the lowest salary available to Juve as they waited on the outcome of a protracted case.

The National Anti-Doping Tribunal has accepted a request from the Anti-Doping Prosecutor’s Office for a four-year ban to be handed out. Pogba and his representatives have argued their case to Mr Pierfilippo Laviani, who carried out the investigation, but have been unable to prove that the 31-year-old was unaware of what he was putting into his system.

Serious questions are now being asked of Pogba’s future. The former Manchester United star is tied to a contract in Turin until 2025. That deal could now be terminated, although Pogba is ready to appeal his sanction by taking the case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF), and the AFCON Morocco 2025 Local Organising Committee have approved free electronic visas for fans travelling to the tournament.

The policy applies to citizens of all countries that normally require a visa to enter Morocco. CAF said in a statement on Friday that the e-visas, processed via the YALLA mobile app, will be issued at no cost to supporters attending the competition, scheduled for 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026.

Fans will need both a Fan ID and an e-visa to enter Morocco and access match venues. Both can be applied for within the YALLA app, streamlining travel and stadium entry.

CAF said the measure is meant to ease travel amid growing global interest in the tournament.

Approved applicants can then purchase match tickets through the CAF ticketing platform.

AFCON 2025 will be held across nine stadiums in six Moroccan cities, with 24 teams competing. Morocco last hosted the event in 1988.
