The Tinubu Grassroots Network (TGN), has visited Notre Dame Grammar School, Usi Ekiti, Ekiti State, where it distributed learning materials and provided educational support to selected students.
The group said the outreach was part of its grassroots engagement and youth development drive under the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking during the visit, the Convener of TGN, Sylvanus Ojo, urged the students to see themselves as leaders of tomorrow and encouraged them to remain curious about government and public policies.
The Convener noted that since many citizens who are meant to benefit from government policies do not because they lack information about available opportunities, TGN members travelled all the way from Abuja to Ekiti to interact with students and community members to bridge the gap.
He explained that the initiative was structured to create a ripple effect in communities, where informed students could help bridge the communication gap between policymakers and grassroots populations.
The organisation held an interactive session with the students, where Ojo spoke on good governance, patriotism and leadership, stressing the need for young Nigerians to participate actively in nation building.
He described TGN as a coalition committed to promoting citizen participation and supporting development initiatives of the Tinubu administration.
The group said its long term goal is to mobilise 10 million Nigerian voters in support of Tinubu’s re election bid, while also sustaining advocacy and community engagement across the country.
On their part, the management and staff of the school full of joy and gratitude, prayed God to bless the TGN lead, Sylvanus Ojo for his kind gesture and foresight for the future of young leaders.
