Lagos State University (LASU) has announced three crucial requirements that Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) candidates must meet to secure admission for the 2024/2025 academic session.
The state-owned university emphasized that prospective students must select LASU as their first choice of institution. This prioritization ensures that the university remains a top choice for those genuinely interested in studying there.
The second requirement is a minimum of five O-level credits, which must include English Language and Mathematics. This standard underscores the university’s commitment to a solid foundational knowledge in key subjects.
Lastly, candidates must achieve a minimum score of 195 in the 2024 UTME. This threshold is set to maintain academic standards and ensure that admitted students have demonstrated a satisfactory level of performance in the national examination.
On Tuesday, June 25, LASU’s official social media handle (@LASUOfficial) shared these requirements in a brief statement. The tweet read:
“Three most important criteria for gaining admission into LASU for the 2024/2025 academic session:
Minimum of 5 O’Level Credits including English Language and Mathematics
Minimum of 195 score in UTME
Choose LASU as a first choice in JAMB. Keep following us to get detailed notice to prospective students, in due course.”
