The Governing Council of Kwara State University at Malete has approved the promotion of six staff members to full professor and elevated 11 others to the position of associate professor.
In a statement released by the KWASU Acting Director of University Relations, Dr. Saeedat Aliyu, the newly promoted professors include individuals with diverse areas of specialization.
Prof. Adebayo Olowoake has been promoted in Soil Fertility, while Prof. Lawrence Ademiluyi specializes in Entrepreneurship, Office Technology, and Management.
Additionally, Prof. Adeoye Afolabi’s expertise lies in Corporate & Public Finance, and Prof. Isiaka Aliagan focuses on Journalism and Media Studies. Rounding up the list are Prof. Sikiru Ahmed in Physical and Computational Chemistry, and Prof. Aliru Mustapha in Analytical, Environmental, and Industrial Chemistry.
Furthermore, Dr. Aliyu listed the newly appointed associate professors, showcasing their expertise in various fields.
Dr. Aliyu Ahmed specializes in Arabic Language, Dr. Abdulrasaq Mustapha in Management Accounting, Accounting Theory, and Taxation, and Dr. Abdulrahman Mustapha in Enterprise Creation, Incubation, and Development.
Other notable appointments include Dr. Abdulwaheed Musa in Engineering Wireless Communication, Artificial Intelligence, and Renewable Energy, Dr. Sefiu Bello in Materials Characterization and Development, and Dr. Abdulrafiu Isiaka in Information System and Pattern Recognition.
Completing the list of associate professors are Dr. Kafayat Olatinwo in International Space Law, Dr. Oyeshola Animashaun in Tax Law, Business Regulations, and Corporate Law, and Dr. Adediran Olushola in Pure Mathematics. Additionally, Dr. Sunday Ojo specializes in Parasitology, while Dr. Abdullahi Taiwo Ajao focuses on Environmental Microbiology.
