Former Zeh Nation signee, Young Duu, has raised accusations against skit maker and music executive, Carter Efe, claiming that Efe has “hijacked” his song, ‘Oyinmo.’
Young Duu, who recently parted ways with Portable’s record label, Zeh Nation, under controversial circumstances, collaborated with Carter Efe on the release of a song titled ‘Oyinmo’ last week.
In a recent Instagram live session with his fans, Young Duu hinted at growing discord with his alleged benefactor, Carter Efe. He accused the skit maker of leveraging industry connections to take control of his song.
Expressing his frustration, Young Duu stated that Carter Efe had begun performing ‘Oyinmo’ at events without his involvement.
In his own words, “Carter Efe has used all the industry brains to collect my song from me. He’s now going to shows to perform the song without me. And he’s not even an artiste; he’s a comedian.”
Young Duu further claimed that Carter Efe was impeding his progress, stating, “Carter Efe doesn’t want anybody to help me. People will be helping me, but he will be claiming he is my helper. I don’t want to cast everything. He’s now going to show to perform my song without me. My boss, Portable, treated me badly, and now Carter Efe wants to treat me bad too. It’s not fair.”
The accusations shed light on a potential rift in the collaboration between Young Duu and Carter Efe, raising questions about the ownership and control of the song ‘Oyinmo.’ The controversy adds a layer of complexity to Young Duu’s recent career developments and his relationships within the industry.
