No fewer than five persons were fatally wounded when two tricycles, popularly called 'keke'  collided on Tuesday at 3rd Avenue area of Gwarimpa in Abuja.

AbujaCityJournal Correspondent at the scene reported that the incident occurred when one of the tricycle riders was speeding on the wrong lane.

Collision which caused high impacts occurred when the rider on the right lane and the other collided at high speed.

Both riders suffered serious injuries, with one sustaining broken leg and severe head injury, while the other who also suffered injuries was left unconscious.

The same was the fate of passengers on board the tricycles who got injured with other complications.

However, prompt assistance from bystanders and security staff of a nearby supermarket enabled victims to be transported to the hospital for proper medical treatment.
