The Oyo State governor, Engr. Seyi makinde has emerged as the new Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Governors' Forum.

Earlier, the Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State who occupied that position, resigned at the ongoing PDP Board of Trustees and National Executive Committee meeting in Abuja.

Tambuwal stepped down after BoT Chairman, Walid Jibril announced his resignation.
