Abuja's Major Highways Flood as Infrastructure Buckles Under Pressure

The Capital City of Nigeria is experiencing extensive damage to its major infrastructures as a result of continuous heavy rain. Just two days ago, several buildings collapsed following a torrential downpour in the Life Camp Axis of Abuja. Surprisingly, even the main roads are now becoming inundated with water due to the relentless rainfall.

Our correspondent from the Abuja City Journal, who was present at the scene, describes the situation as dire, with moving vehicles struggling to navigate through the deluge. The heavy rainfall has caused a significant traffic jam, with taxis and private cars lining up as they are unable to progress.

This unfortunate event has been recurring, causing concern among residents who fear further damage if the rain continues at this rate.

Additionally, another correspondent from the Abuja City Journal recently witnessed the collapse of a bridge near Bassa, on Airport Road in Abuja.

These ongoing incidents are having a significant impact on individuals, as they struggle to navigate their way to work without risking damage to their vehicles or being swept away by the powerful rainfall.

The Abuja City Journal is diligently reporting on these developments, providing up-to-date coverage.
