The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has assured residents that the FCT University of Science and Technology, Abaji (FUSTA), will begin operations under the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Wike gave the assurance in Abaji during a visit to appreciate residents for supporting the President’s candidates in the February 21 FCT Area Council elections.

He said the FCT Administration has already commenced the development of infrastructure and other critical facilities required for the university’s take-off.

The minister urged residents to remain patient, emphasizing that President Tinubu is committed to ensuring the university becomes a reality during his tenure.

“From our conversations, we see how important this university is not only to the people of Abaji but to all residents of the FCT. It will create jobs and open up the Abaji community to further development. I will be proud to be the one to officially open the university for operations,” he said.

Wike explained that his visit was primarily to thank residents for fulfilling their promise to support the President, stressing the importance of reciprocating goodwill.

Describing politics as a “game of give and take,” the minister added that the era of empty promises is over.
