An officer of the Anti-Human Trafficking and Visa Fraud Unit, Inspector Jerome Joseph Arumula, has been promoted to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), at the Force Criminal Investigation Department, Abuja, alongside other officers elevated across Nigeria.
Speaking with Abuja City Journal recently, after his decoration, ASP Arumula expressed gratitude to the Nigeria Police Force and the nation for the confidence reposed in him.
“I am deeply honoured by this promotion. The Force has taught me courage, service, selflessness and to always put the nation first,” he said.
He described policing as both fulfilling and rewarding, urging his colleagues to remain steadfast and ever ready to serve the country with dedication and integrity.
“It is a privilege to serve one’s nation. We must remain committed and available whenever duty calls,” he added.
Arumula was decorated by the Commissioner of Police in charge of Anti-Human Trafficking and Visa Fraud (AVF), Abdulateef Ajape Yusuf, assisted by the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Abdulhaziz Aliyu of the same unit.
The promotion ceremony held in Abuja formed part of a nationwide elevation exercise within the Nigeria Police Force.
