Former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and chairman of the Policy Manifesto Committee of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), John Odigie-Oyegun, has described the 2027 general elections as a decisive struggle between ordinary Nigerians and entrenched political forces.
Oyegun said the polls would go beyond a routine change of leadership, but serve as a referendum on governance and citizens’ rights.
He spoke amid growing public discontent over economic hardship, insecurity and other governance challenges, which analysts say are likely to shape voter sentiment and campaign narratives ahead of 2027.
