The Nathaniel Idowu Ajegunle U 14 Football League continued to thrill fans with a flood of goals, as Week Two produced 24 goals, surpassing the 21 recorded in the opening round.
The grassroots tournament, staged at the Nathaniel Idowu pitch in Ajegunle, Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Council of Lagos, is organised by the Ajeromi Ifelodun Sports Council with support from the Nathaniel Idowu Foundation.
Pure Talents FA maintained their strong form with a 6 2 win over Young 11 FA, with Fidelis Prosper, Chukwu Gozie, Ajaloleru Yesiru and Adekunle Daniel on the scoresheet. Joseph Philip and Theodore Triumph scored for Young 11.
Michael May FA defeated Best of Best International 2 0 through goals from Gavor Marvelous and Akinbowale Winner, while Bright Future FA and Divinely Blessed FA played out a 1 1 draw.
Fortune FA also recorded a convincing 6 2 victory over Strong Dove FA, while Sharp Talent FA beat Ajegunle United SC 3 0, with Divine Nwayawo, Sulaiman Ibrahim and Shogbamu Emmanuel scoring.
Coal City FA edged Moore Wins FA 2 1 to conclude the weekend fixtures.
Off the pitch, the league attracted fresh support as Joy Ekwem pledged to supply water to all teams throughout the competition.
Kelvin Osaze, CEO of Kelvin Osaze Transport Services, donated N200,000 to the League Management Committee and added N50,000 as educational support for Surajudeen Mujeeb, the youngest player for Bright Future FA.
The Vice Chairman of the Lagos State Football Association, Adedotun Coker, also rewarded each Man of the Match with a t shirt.
