The Nigerian Army has renovated the 91-year-old Magajin Rafi Model Primary School in Sokoto under the COAS Special Intervention Civil–Military Cooperation Scheme.
The project, initiated by alumnus and project executor Maj.-Gen. Abbas Idris, aims to support community development and strengthen civil-military relations.
At the inauguration on Saturday, Governor Ahmed Aliyu, represented by Deputy Alhaji Idris Gobir, praised the initiative, noting that investment in primary education is vital for societal progress and nurturing future leaders.
The renovation forms part of the Army’s efforts to improve infrastructure and social services in host communities.
