The Kano State Fire Service has recovered the body of three-year-old Abdura’uf Badamasi, who went missing in Wangara Village, Tofa Local Government Area.
The child was reported missing Thursday evening, and a distress call was made to the fire service Friday morning. A rescue team discovered him in a well, but he was confirmed dead.
The body was handed over to the Ward Head for burial according to Islamic rites. The Fire Service extended condolences to the family and urged residents to secure open wells and other hazards to protect children.
