Indigenous stakeholders in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), have vowed to support only leaders who prioritise the collective progress of the people over personal interests.

Speaking at an expanded executive meeting on the “FCT Indigenous Stakeholders 2026 Strategic Plan” in Abuja on Thursday, the Executive Director of the Abuja Original Inhabitants Youth Empowerment Organisation, Comrade Isaac David, said natives would henceforth align with leaders committed to their emancipation.

David warned against politicians who exploit youths for selfish ambitions, stressing that such practices were no longer acceptable.

He urged indigenous people to hold leaders accountable and demand integrity, noting that youths would no longer be silenced by false promises.

He also encouraged indigenous youths to actively engage in local politics as a foundation for leadership development, adding that staying informed and vigilant would help build a better future for the FCT.
