Manchester United staged a thrilling late comeback to beat Arsenal 3-2 at the Emirates Stadium, denting the Gunners’ title hopes and reigniting the Premier League race.
Arsenal, who started the match top of the table, took the lead in the 29th minute when United defender Lisandro Martínez scored an own goal under pressure. United hit back eight minutes later as Bryan Mbeumo equalised to send both sides into the break level.
The visitors went ahead early in the second half through Patrick Dorgu, before Arsenal mounted a strong response. Mikel Merino restored parity in the 84th minute, raising hopes of a late turnaround for the hosts.
However, Matheus Cunha had the final say, firing in a stunning long-range effort in the 87th minute to seal all three points for United.
The defeat was Arsenal’s first home league loss of the season, while the victory boosted Manchester United’s push for a top-four finish.
