The Chairman of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC), Barr. Cosmas Akighir, has called on ward chairmen in Gboko Local Government Area, Benue State, to step up mobilization for the ongoing APC membership E-registration.
On 24th January 2026, while hosting leaders from all 17 wards in Gboko, Akighir praised their past efforts, which he said contributed to the party’s electoral success, and urged them to maintain momentum to honour the confidence placed in Senator George Akume by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
The NCDC boss also offered financial support to aid the exercise. Hon. Basil Yina, APC Party Chairman in Gboko, commended Akighir’s continued backing of the party and prayed for God’s blessings on him.
He acknowledged contributions from other stakeholders, including Hon. Mrs. Becky Orpin, Hon. Engr. Begha Nyamkume, and Rep. Mrs. Regina Akume JP, which helped sustain the party’s situation report room.
Barr. Akighir later visited the Gboko E-registration report room, completed his APC registration, and received his membership card for Gboko South Ward.
