The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has issued a travel and safety advisory to prospective 2026 Batch A Stream I corps members, urging them to prioritise safety while travelling to orientation camps.
In a post on its official X handle on Tuesday, the NYSC warned against night travel due to heightened security risks and road accidents.
Prospective corps members were advised to travel only during the day, use registered transport companies, and operate from approved motor parks.
The advisory also encouraged travellers to share their live location with family or trusted contacts, speak up against reckless driving, keep mobile phones charged, carry power banks, and pause journeys if travel becomes unsafe.
The NYSC reiterated its commitment to corps members’ safety and urged strict adherence to the guidelines ahead of the 2026 orientation exercise.
