APC Strategy, Conflict Resolution Committee Holds Inaugural Meeting in Abuja

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Strategy, Conflict Resolution and Mobilisation Committee on Monday held its first meeting in Abuja, weeks after its inauguration by President Bola Tinubu.

The closed-door session took place at the Yobe State Governor’s Lodge in the Federal Capital Territory and was chaired by the committee’s head and Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni.

Several governors and senior party leaders attended the meeting, underscoring the significance of the committee’s role within the ruling party.

Those present included Governors Hope Uzodimma (Imo), Siminalayi Fubara (Rivers), Hyacinth Alia (Benue), Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta), Uba Sani (Kaduna) and Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti).

Also in attendance were the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle; Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola; and former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello.

Other party leaders at the meeting were Senator Kabiru Marafa, former APC National Legal Adviser Muiz Banire, and Ibrahim Masari, Special Assistant to the President on Political Affairs.

However, Governors Bassey Otu (Cross River), AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (Kwara) and Umar Namadi (Jigawa), who are members of the committee, were absent.
