State-owned Engineers India Ltd (EIL), has won a $350 million contract to serve as Project Management Consultant (PMC), and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM), consultant for the expansion of the Dangote Refinery and Petrochemical Complex in Lagos.

EIL, which handled the initial refinery construction, will oversee the upgrade from 650,000 to 1.4 million barrels per day under Train 2, producing Euro VI fuels and boosting petrochemical output.

Polypropylene capacity will rise from 830 kTPA to 2.4 MMTPA, with a new 750 kTPA UOP Oleflex unit to enhance propylene feed.

The contract reinforces Dangote Refinery’s position as a leading African refining and petrochemical hub.
