Former presidential candidate and ADC chieftain, Peter Obi, has said he does not own any house or landed property in Abuja, attributing the decision to his preference for a simple, stress-free lifestyle.

Obi disclosed this during a coffee hangout with members of the KayhikersClub in Abuja, explaining that accumulating assets often creates unnecessary pressure and health challenges.

“I don’t have a house or land in Abuja and I’m not planning to own one because I don’t need it,” he said, adding that living modestly has helped him maintain good health.

The former Anambra State governor recalled rejecting official privileges while serving as Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission, including official vehicles, accommodation and sitting allowances.

He said he similarly declined luxury cars during his tenure as Chairman of Fidelity Bank.

Obi maintained that he never collected personal benefits while in office, stressing that his record is open to verification.

He concluded that he lives comfortably within his means and is content without excessive material possessions.
