Reaching 100 international goal contributions, combining goals and assists, is a rare achievement in world football and a clear marker of elite performance at national team level. Achieving the milestone in record time further distinguishes the game’s greatest attackers.
Brazil legend Pelé remains the fastest player in history to reach 100 international goal contributions, accomplishing the feat in just 77 appearances for his country. He is followed by Neymar, who reached the landmark in 94 games for Brazil, becoming the youngest player on record to do so.
In January 2026, Mohamed Salah made history as the fastest African to reach the milestone, achieving 100 goal contributions in 111 matches for Egypt after producing a goal and an assist against Ivory Coast. Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku reached the same mark in 113 games, making him the fastest European to achieve the feat.
Uruguay’s Luis Suárez hit 100 international goal contributions in 116 appearances, while Lionel Messi reached the landmark in 122 games for Argentina before going on to surpass all others in total international contributions. Iran great Ali Daei followed in 123 matches, maintaining his status as Asia’s fastest player to the milestone.
Poland captain Robert Lewandowski reached 100 contributions in 128 games, continuing to add to his tally well into his thirties. Cristiano Ronaldo, now the highest international goal scorer in history, achieved the mark in 136 matches, a figure influenced by his early years playing predominantly as a winger. Germany’s Miroslav Klose also reached the milestone in 136 appearances and remains the most prolific scorer in FIFA World Cup history.
