Arsenal and Liverpool played out a 0-0 draw in a tightly contested Premier League encounter at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday night.
Arsenal enjoyed the bulk of possession, with Martin Ødegaard and Declan Rice controlling midfield, while Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard tested Liverpool’s defence from the flanks.
However, the hosts were unable to break down a disciplined Liverpool back line.
Liverpool posed their main threat on the counter and went closest in the first half when Conor Bradley struck the crossbar. Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konaté were solid in defence, limiting Arsenal’s clear chances.
The second half saw Arsenal press for a winner, but Liverpool held firm to secure a valuable away point, leaving the hosts to rue missed opportunities.
