A female staff member of the High Court, identified as Princess Ochigo, has been found dead by the roadside in Abuja, raising fresh concerns over security in the Federal Capital Territory.
The deceased was identified through an identity card recovered from her body. She was reportedly discovered lying motionless by the roadside under circumstances that remain unclear.
Sources said there were no immediate signs of a road accident on her body, fuelling speculation of possible foul play. The incident comes days after the body of an Igbo nurse was similarly found abandoned in the FCT.
Confirming the development, spokesperson of the FCT Police Command, SP Josephine Adeh, said the command was aware of the incident and had commenced investigations.
“Discreet investigations are ongoing to unravel the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident. More information will be provided in due course,” Adeh said.
