Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has named the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, and former Rivers State Governor, Peter Odili, as witnesses to a peace agreement reached with Governor Siminalayi Fubara amid the ongoing political crisis in the state.

Wike disclosed this while reacting to developments surrounding the Rivers political turmoil, stating that the agreement was signed in the presence of President Bola Tinubu and other key stakeholders.

According to him, the peace deal was intended to resolve the rift between major political actors in the state and restore stability to governance in Rivers.

The former governor insisted that the agreement must be honoured, alleging that some political leaders were misleading Governor Fubara and deviating from the terms agreed upon.

The political crisis in Rivers State, which followed a fallout between Governor Fubara and his predecessor, has continued to generate national attention, prompting repeated interventions by the Federal Government and party leaders.
