Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has dismissed reports of a rift with Victor Osimhen following a brief on pitch exchange during Nigeria’s Africa Cup of Nations match against Mozambique on Tuesday night in Côte d’Ivoire.
The incident, which occurred in the second half, sparked speculation among fans about possible tension within the Nigerian camp.
However, speaking after the match, Lookman played down the incident, insisting there was no disagreement between the two players.
“Nothing happened. We were just discussing on the pitch,” the Atalanta forward said.
He described Nigeria’s AFCON campaign as positive, noting that the team continues to improve with each game. “It’s been great. The team is improving every single day,” he added.
