Alhaji Ali Ɗahiru Zungeru, the Sarkin Hausawa of Ibadanland, has died, marking a significant loss for the city’s Hausa community. His death was confirmed by community leaders and traditional sources in Ibadan on Monday.
Zungeru was widely respected for promoting unity and representing the interests of the Hausa community within Ibadan’s diverse cultural landscape.
Details of the circumstances surrounding his death were not disclosed. However, local sources said burial arrangements have been concluded, with funeral rites expected to commence on Tuesday.
