Nigeria will face Mozambique in the round of 16 of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations following the conclusion of the group stage on Wednesday.

The Super Eagles secured their knockout opponent after the final matches in Groups E and F.

Algeria topped Group E with a 3-1 win over Equatorial Guinea, while Burkina Faso finished second after beating Sudan 2-0.

In Group F, defending champions Ivory Coast came from two goals down to defeat Gabon 3-2, while Cameroon edged Mozambique 2-1. The results left Mozambique among the best third-placed teams, setting up a clash with Nigeria.

Nigeria had earlier sealed top spot in Group C with a perfect record, finishing ahead of Tunisia and Tanzania after victories over Tanzania, Tunisia and Uganda.

The round-of-16 tie between Nigeria and Mozambique will take place on Monday in Fez, as the Super Eagles seek to maintain their momentum and push for the AFCON title.
