Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo has been named Best Middle East Player at the 16th Globe Soccer Awards, held in Dubai on Sunday.
The 40-year-old Al-Nassr forward beat Karim Benzema, Riyad Mahrez and Salem Al-Dawsari in the fan-voted category recognising outstanding players in Middle Eastern leagues.
The award was announced by football journalist Fabrizio Romano on X.
It marks Ronaldo’s second consecutive win, having claimed the honour in 2024, and underscores his continued influence in the Saudi Pro League since joining Al-Nassr in 2023.
Ronaldo enjoyed an impressive 2025 campaign, scoring 40 goals since his birthday in February, a notable feat at the age of 40.
The Globe Soccer Awards, held annually in Dubai since 2010, celebrate excellence across football.
At this year’s ceremony, Paris Saint-Germain were named Best Men’s Club, while individual honours went to Luis Enrique (Best Coach), Vitinha (Best Midfielder), Désiré Doué (Emerging Player) and Luis Campos (Best Sporting Director).
