Arsenal sustained their Premier League title challenge with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday.
The Gunners claimed the decisive goal in the 27th minute, with Viktor Gyökeres converting from the penalty spot after a VAR review confirmed a handball.
Everton began brightly, but Arsenal gradually took control, dominating possession and creating the clearer chances as the contest wore on.
The visitors pushed for a second goal after the break but were kept at bay by Everton’s defence, while the hosts were unable to find an equaliser despite late pressure.
The win extends Arsenal’s unbeaten run and keeps them firmly in the title race as attention turns to the busy festive fixtures.
Everton, meanwhile, were left to rue missed opportunities as they continue their climb up the table.
