Christmas: Wayo Praises Alia’s Achievements, Seeks Grassroots Support in Benue

The Principal Special Assistant to the Governor of Benue State on Legal Matters, Barr. Seember Wayo, has commended Governor Hyacinth Alia for what she described as remarkable developmental strides recorded by his administration two years after assuming office.
Wayo made the remarks during a Christmas visit to her constituents in Mbayongo, Vandeikya Local Government Area, as part of the yuletide celebrations and in appreciation of the governor’s leadership in the past year.
She said the Alia administration had delivered visible and impactful development across key sectors of the state’s economy, noting that the achievements were too evident to be ignored.
According to her, the governor has recorded major successes in road infrastructure development, construction and rehabilitation of primary, secondary and tertiary institutions, revitalisation of the health sector, youth and women empowerment programmes, and improvements in agriculture, industry, trade and investment.
Wayo urged members of her community to actively participate in the ongoing voter registration exercise, describing it as crucial to sustaining the current administration and ensuring that communities continue to benefit from government programmes.
She also assured residents that Governor Alia had promised the construction of roads within Mbayongo Council Ward in the near future.
In their separate remarks, the APC Chairman in the area, Hon. David Tyogbea; the Gubernatorial Liaison Officer, Hon. Joseph Yawe; and the councillor representing Mbayongo Ward, Hon. Tebe Richard, expressed appreciation to Governor Alia for appointing sons and daughters of Yongo-tiev, including Barr. Wayo, into positions of responsibility.
They called on Kunav indigenes and Benue people at large to continue to support the governor, citing improvements in roads, healthcare, education and agriculture.
Other speakers at the event, including Acting Tyoor, Zaki Joseph Shirsha; Chairlady of the Yongo-tiev Development Association (Women Wing), Mrs. Mayange; Yongo-tiev Youth President, Comr. Uganden Iorkohol; and Chairlady of the Widows Association, Mrs. Roseline Ate, also commended the governor and Barr. Wayo for their efforts.
As part of the Christmas outreach, Barr. Wayo distributed food items and relief materials to her constituents, including bags of rice, wrappers, cartons of seasoning, salt and cash donations.
She was accompanied by the Principal Special Assistant to the Governor on Media, Publicity and Strategic Communication, Hon. Bridget Tikyaa; Special Adviser on Digital Media and Communication, Hon. Igbetar Jerry Signor; former Mbayongo councillorship aspirant, Hon. Laha David, and other aides.
