The Super Eagles will depart their Cairo training base on Thursday for Fez, Morocco, as final preparations begin for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Nigeria opened camp on Sunday with 10 players, with the number rising to 27 by Wednesday following the arrival of Moses Simon.
Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen is expected to join the squad before departure.
The team suffered a 2-1 defeat to Egypt in a pre-AFCON friendly on Tuesday, with Chidozie Awaziem scoring Nigeria’s only goal after Ahmed Saber had put the hosts ahead. Mostafa Mohamed netted the winner for Egypt.
Head coach Eric Chelle has named a 28-man squad, recalling Francis Uzoho and Paul Onuachu, and handing call-ups to five new players, including Ebenezer Akinsanmiro and Ryan Alebiosu.
Nigeria are drawn in Group C with Tanzania, Tunisia and Uganda, and will begin their campaign against Tanzania on December 23 as they target a fourth AFCON title.
