Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, has denied reports that he plans to contest the Abia State governorship in 2027, calling the claims false and misleading.
Kalu said he has not announced or indicated any intention to run and urged the public to disregard speculation.
He emphasized that his current focus is on his legislative duties and delivering for his constituents.
He appealed to supporters and the media to avoid fueling premature political narratives, stressing that any future political decisions will be communicated transparently at the appropriate time.
